Wow! What an assortment of activity here! Well, at least some important information about Grasshopper was revealed. Tyro is page turning so today appears to be a normal day in the life of DWR and Nauvoo.

Tyro needn't wear her Kathy hat. I am here. Posted something just yesterday, I think. I have been absorbing lots of posts and have mainly been lurking, but you can be sure I've been reading.
Colors? Well, bunnies are pink. But I think I like aubergine and chrome green. (That's for me, not for Grasshopper.)

Kathryn, as you no doubt noticed, when I put on my Kathy hat, I yelled at Zeta when it wasn't Zeta, so I'm glad enough not to be the janitor!! I can't do it right.

Phew! I got rid of it! I tried to delete the link a half a dozen times with no success. This last time I put a space and it appears to be gone. I mention this in case someone else runs into the problem. It happened when I edited my profile.

I was going to make my 1000th post an informative one but I was too lazy. I still may do something but...well, right now I am too busy (sounds better than lazy).
Snow is on the way. At least that is what the weatherpersons are currently guessing. It will probably go too far south or too far north or skip right over us as usual. So, Tyro, it will be heading your way in the next day or so.

Nauvoo Mafia Godfather, believe it or not, I feel bad for smarting off to you. Are your feelings hurt? If so, I am sorry. (Don't ask me why I feel bad for hurting a Godfather's feelings--I'm just too tenderhearted for my own good. Besides, it's probably really jacare or somebody that is my friend.)

Same here, Tyro. We just had 8 or so homes east of town burned in a grass fire. I-40 was even closed due to blowing smoke. We were five inches below normal last year in precipitation. Our reservoir is drying up so we do need to see something falling from the sky. And our "favorite" Texas oilman, T. Boone Pickens is now trying to get in the water exportation business, sending our groundwater downstate to places like San Antonio.
So, I will be singing "Let it snow!" this afternoon and evening. For me snow is really a bonus. Not only do we get needed moisture but I also get something I like to play in!

We were mostly missed again! It is sleeting slightly here right now but no snow. Most of the storm stayed south. However, I am sure it will visit you, Tyro! It was moving slight north so by the time it gets to your part of the world it will probably be on top of you.
