So what did you think of this latest episode? The whole prision break and the formation of the army of Magog was certainly interesting, as was the whole episode in Prauge.
Though I can't really believe they wouldn't have been able to see right away or at least feel right away that there were braile letters on the book!
I'm excited to see what will happen. Do you think they will pull off a last min rescue of Hawk?

Yep, the braille thing was bad. I have seen several Braille books. It is very obvious.
And what warden in their right mind gives Hayden access to the prison population for a Satan Rally? Especially after what happened in the prison during his hearing in court. You lock him away in isolation.
Too bad they killed the girl. Too bad they got the virgin nun. Too bad they broke out of prison. Too bad Hawk is being brainwashed so easily. Too bad Massey's assistant is fighting for his life (but that is better than being killed outright. I like him.) Are the good guys every going to win a battle? Will the Church ever admit what is going on? It seems like just the bad guys are always winning.
Lots to resolve in the last episode. But it is doing fairly well in the ratings. Of course it is the lead in to "Law and Order," so that helps. Maybe they won't resolve everything in hopes of continuing the series. I wonder if they made two ending episodes. One in case they might have more, and another in case it is the last one ever.
Nice to find out that Hayden isn't human. And nice that the blind scholar hid a special knife in the special book.
Cool way to open the book, by the way.
What happened to the search for the "Christ Child?" It seems to have gone away.

Argh! It seems like there is very little conclusion--which I supose leaves it wide open for continuation.
The biggest puzzle to me is why the nun seems so bent on stoping the events surounding the second coming. I mean it is one thing to try to keep as many people from dying or suffering, but her whole "it is my mission in life to stop this from happening" seems a little odd.
And the whole Jesus hiding in Egypt was kind of funny!
I'd be interested to know what ya'll thought.

That was my main question tonight... (besides why they think Jesus needs another body, is the whole trumpets and clouds of glory a strictly LDS thing?) Why does she want to stop the anti-Christ? He's going to come, and that will trigger the events leading to the Second Coming. It's not like it will change whether people will be different or not, since most of them won't know it tried to come the first time. Personally I kind of look forward to the second coming and the whole post-mortal life thing... *shrug* it was an odd show from an LDS perspective. Especially after reading the Dan Brown books that claim all that "satanic" stuff is bunk Posts: 2959 | Registered: Oct 2004

Yeah, that is the main question. If she knows it is "inevitible" why is she tring to stop it? Perhaps she could have focused more on saving the good guys at the peace conference.
Dr. Massey's motivations, namely saving Hawk and satisifying scientific curiosity, was a lot more clear.
I wanted to see Hayden dead for certain. Like a "Buffy kills a vampire" moment. I want to be sure he his gone, not just lurking in the water. And how stupid was it for Massey to go into a jail cell to get Hawk? Why not say: "Hey, this is a bad idea. Come out here?"
And I never quite caught up with who the Sabastian Cabot (sp?) character was. Just how did he tie into it all? He seemed to have lots more knowledge than they used. And I would have liked an update on Dr. Massey's assistant that got shot in the last episode.
But all in all I thought it was very entertaining. I am sorry to read they aren't bringing it back next year. It is nice to see some new things on NBC instead of the 19th spinoff of "Law and Order."

Ok, that should satisfy the demands of decency...
I realized I had another question. I thought the whole point of kidnapping Hawk was to be some kind of sacrifice so that they could properly have the birth of the anti-Christ. Since Hawk wasn't killed, why was the anti-Christ still born? And how did any of this have to do with saving Lucy's soul?

Pink Floyd, Where did you hear it isn't coming back? I was enjoying it!
***spoiler**** Jamilyn, I think that Hawk had to be killed for the birth to be perfect, or for him to become the full-on anti-christ. So the good won. But there were so many questions unanswered!

sacare: I read about it here, but it has been published elsewhere as well.
I suppose they didn't answer all the questions like the one about Hawk because there was the chance it would contiune.

actually, I kind of hope they put the story in book format since it didn't get picked up for a second season. Not only would we be able to hopefully get the rest of the story and have loose ends wrapped up, but there were so many things happening in so little time, a book would be a great medium to see it all in. Maybe someone could talk Dan Brown into it? I'd buy it!
