this is Meadowbee. I;m visiting my sister, OmeGa. I'll be back home tomorrow, but we wanted to share our good fortune tonight. We got to meet Janey and DaKnife yesterday! They attended the wedding brunch of OmeGa's daughter. We thought they would be there since they RSVP'ed, but they had no idea we'd be there. Darth Tater and Melissa_Jane were with us, too. So in the Jade Room of the Joseph Smith Memorial building, there were six Nauvoodles together! Janey and DaKnife were a lovey-dovey couple, and both OmeGa and I commented on Janey's warm, melodious voice. We wish them well in their newly wedded bliss. Goodbye for now; see you late tomorrow!

Meadowbee, OmeGa, that sounds so neat! And you met them the day before their own wedding. How wonderful. Sounds like you're really enjoying your reunion. BTW, I actually SAW a "Darth Tater" yesterday, it was a Mr. Potato Head toy with a Darth Vader costume.
Now, Michaela, you can't keep adding rules after the game has started. Let me re-post the letters so I can think some more:
quote: O O U M T F H G A E N E B P I
Ping. Month. Mao.
I'll leave it at that, since KetchupQueen is playing all Survivor on us and trying to make alliances. Got to save something for later.
I wonder if I've ever been in the JS Bldg at the same time as any other Nauvoodles. Or maybe even in one of the temples (I've been to several since I came to town). Other than going to the Oakland Temple when Lisa was endowed, I don't know of any other time--and I didn't actually meet her because there were too many people and it would have been a breach of decorum to roam around trying to find her.
I hope she's doing OK.
The sweet potatoes I got the other day aren't all gone yet, so I made a custard. Fresh out of the oven, so the center may still be hot. Same way you make pie filling--cook the potatoes until tender, slip off skins, & puree. Add 4 Tbsp butter, 3 beaten eggs, a dash of vanilla extract, & your choice(s) of sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, & ground clove to taste. These amounts are for 2 cups of potato puree. Preheat oven to 400. Blend until smooth & put in an appropriate size baking dish (a shallow one will bake more evenly). If you like, sprinkle a dash of the spices & maybe brown sugar for a little "crisp." Lower oven to 325 & bake until a toothpick comes out clean (about 45 minutes; test it sooner if the center looks "set").
I thought I saw some of Sarcare's cranberry juice still here. Has anyone ever tried to make cranberry cider? I wonder what it would be like.

Ha! This is fun! I have had a long day and need to finish some stuff! It was a beautiful day for a horse and cart ride! I think I might actually be picking up the steps for Electric Slide!
Goodnight, sweet Nauvoo friends and competitors! V.

Hey everyone! We just returned from a long day away. We went to the temple this morning and then my dh dropped me off at my friend's baby shower. It is always nice to be with good friends. Then we made the 3 hour drive home. It was a good day!
So, I should be preparing my lesson for tomorrow, but I can't resist joining in the game. I love games like this!
Okay, here are a few more:
benefit nutmeg peanut
edited to add: gaming
edited again to take away "gaming" since there is only one 'g'.

Oomph. And I guess anyone else who manages a word in before the deadline will win, because I have to go to Church now-- just as soon as I finish sealing up the box that's going to go to Tijuana (our Young Men are collecting things to be taken down there, you know they had a hurricane. There was a very specific list; I went through all our shelves and closets and came up with a 5 lb. bag of rice, lots of baby and toddler clothes, some teenage girl clothes-- left over from when I was a teenage girl and still with me for unknown reasons-- and a white dress shirt, to be given to a young man who will serve a mission.)

In case anyone wants to check on the time zone thing, I went to a place called the official US Time to make sure of what time it would be here when the game officially closed!

Time stamps do not reflect each time zone, they reflect what you have yours set to. For instance, the original post reads "1:03 PM" for me.

posted November 05, 2005 04:03 PM This is Michaela's time stamp and I would guess that it is what time it was in Mountain Time? The rules said 24 hours from that which would make it 4:00 on today! Jacksonville is 2 hours ahead so it would be 6:00 pm our time which is what Jenna's and my computer show!
I won't make this about winning or losing and will gladly declare someone else the winner in this. Games on the porch are something I'll probably just watch. V.

I am so amazed at all the words that have come out of that little string of letters. I have a few more, but I have a meeting right now - - - Aaron scheduled it - - - so have to go. I'll save one just in case I get back before 4:00 (not likely).
then thine often
Oh, what the hey. I'll never get back on time. Here's the last one:
pint.
That's it, folks, I'm all out of words. E-M-P-T-Y. Done. Finished. Ka-Put. All Gone.

Some days are like that. I typed in that post, ran off to my meeting with the bishop, came home and fixed dinner, then rushed downstairs here to see who the winner was and was shocked and appalled (if that's still allowable) to find my post still sitting unsent. Next time I vow to be a better player.
Well, Hound Dog, I'm glad to know that you're a gentle fellow. All howl, no jowl.
Let's see here. Now that my face is not so red, I need to see how this game turned out.

Wherever you are, it is approximately 6:45 where I am right now, which means time was up 2 hrs and 45 mins ago (give or take a couple of minutes.) Personally, I missed the deadline by about, well, let's see - - - two and a half hours .

So, let's see. I need to sit down in the rocking chair here with a good, soft quilt and think about all this. I can't even tell you how AMAZED I am at all the words you came up with. I'm speechless.
You know, whenever I play a new game I get a little frustrated because the rules are often a little fuzzy and I'm not quite sure how the game is supposed to go. This was so much fun, I think we should do it again sometime. Meanwhile, could we tweak the rules a bit to make them perfectly clear? Especially the time zone thing. I'm still a little confused about that. Actually my Nauvoo clock is showing me two hours ahead of where I actually am.

Somebody, help Are the times listed with each post the actual time for your time zone, or are they adjusted for my time zone?
Oh, dear, Hound Dog. I think I'm in trouble. I didn't realize time zones would be such a problem. And there are so many fantastic last-minute words. Maybe I can use my cell phone to get this figured out.
First, though, I've got to go to dinner or I'm going to have rebellion on two fronts! Posts: 3711 | Registered: Feb 2005

You can select how the times appear on your screan. I have it so they are ajusted to my time. It is around 9:20 here, and Micheala appeared to have just posted at 8:59. Now if she is MST then she probably posted at 6:59, but it says 8:59 for me. That may not make any sense.
The game was fun to watch, I was cheering ya'll on, but all the words I could think up were selected by the time I got around to it!

Hi, Sar. You're right. My time is 7:27 now. So based on that, who would you say our winner is? I'm going back to refigure, and hope to come up with something that agrees with your assessment.
OK. It's this easy. Game was over at 4 PM MST That's: 2 PM Pacific 5 PM Central 6 PM Eastern going by the Nauvoo clock
Will the real winner please step forth! ( Ta-Da! ) and bring your treat with you.

Imo! You won! And you were such a good sport, too, adding words at the end "just for fun" even when you thought you were too late. Hooray for you! Here, these crocheted slippers are for you. Also, this jar of nutella, which I finally found at a store here. Now, your end of the bargain is to bring a victory treat to share.
IMO CREAMO! IMO CREAMO!
Thanks, Jenna, for helping to get this all figured out. Good game, everyone.

Go, Imo! And I loved your next-to-last word, too: Enigma.
More of my favorites, whoever posted them:
Oomph . (That was KQ.) Tongue. Fatigue . Megaphone . Omega . Peanut (just because that's my little boy's nickname). And I still like Gamete , even though I posted it too late.
Congrats to everybody on their creativity!

KQ had the longest list with 170+ words. Curelom came in second with 53+. The longest word was Euphrasie's "megaphone" - - - nine letters!! We need Meadowbee here to make up a wracking-your-brain-for-a-word-song. Forget that. We just need Meadowbee here. I miss her. I'm glad she had such a cool time in the JSM building, though.
Well, it's time to turn the lanterns down a little and see if Annabelle will come and purr for me a bit. What an ingenious idea. Put a little purring motor inside a furry animal. Heavenly Father deserves a hug.
