You guys better write *SPOILERS* fifty times, so I don't accidentally read who gets kicked off, like I almost did!!!

I am not sure how I feel about making the lowest two sing before they tell them who has been eliminated. I didn't like it when they had to sing after, but singing before seems to be even more nerve wracking!
I hope that wasn't too much of a spoiler!

AAARGGGHH THEY SING BEFORE NOW?! So much for that surprise!
j/k
I managed to watch the parts I missed today (taped) and my prediction for tonight's bottom 2 are Elliot and Paris. I keep waffling between which one will go. I think my brain says Elliot and my heart says Paris (wishful thinking)

Make up your mind tonight that you will be voting for a couple of hours after next week's show. A fabulous singer needs your helpp. Close your eyes and listen with both ears and your whole heart.

Let's all yelliott for Elliott!

I thought Elliot sounded bad tonight. I'd have preferred Paris staying, but her performance yesterday wasn't as good.

I'm bumping this up to the top because it just isn't right for it to be on page two on a Tuesday!

I agree, Elliott was amazing! If he leaves tomorrow, it won't be because I didn't do my part to keep him around.
What would I like to see? Elliott and Taylor in the finals. But I've been fairly certain from the first that it will be Chris and Taylor facing off at the end.
Who's going home tomorrow? I am afraid it will be Elliott, but I'd rather send Katharine away with my best wishes for a fabulous future. She is very talented! They all are.

In her second song, I thought Katharine would pop a vein from the sheer strain of it all. Sometimes she was close to screaming. To me, the presentation was over-wrought. She forgot the words and she ran out of breath (no wonder!) during her last phrases. She should go next.

I'm horrified and depressed, the second is nothing new, but I may have to stop watching american idol after tonight.

Wow. I didn't see that one coming. I had picked that contestant to be the American Idol. Guess it goes to show how unpredictable the outcome of the show can be. When you get down to this point, all of the contestants are good. (Trying hard not to be the 'spoiler' for those who might have taped the show.)

I am completely shocked! I think most people thought he'd be the last man standing. Well, it'll be interesting to see how it ends.

Oh well time to root for Elliot. He totally sold me last night.
Still,
But did you see Chris' face go all blank when Ryan told him he was going home? Like, "Excuse me, I didn't hear a word of what you just said." Poor guy definitely didn't deserve that

You know, though, it's not like he's going home to sell apples on the street corner. I saw an interveiw where he was talking about all the opportunities coming to him and it sounds like he's going to do just fine with or without the win. Still . . .

When the results show was over I told my hubby that I was surprised but not disappointed. Chris is a good singer and seems like a great husband and father, but I get bored with his singing really quickly. I'm thrilled with these last three contestants. Elliott is my favorite still.

Chris had the most talent. What is wrong with America?
I actually have always voted for Taylor just because isn't there a little Kareoke singer in all of us? I just figured that Chris would never get bumped off because of his talent.
Bummer... the best man does not always win.... AND I hope it's not the girl... yea, she's a looker and has some talent but Chris was so very good.

I think that is why Chris was voted off, becasue we all thought he was the shoo in , so we were ( and all of America) voting for the one we were worried would getting voted off to early.

Sorry....yes, Chris was good. But I have heard him sing WAY more flat notes than the girl. Get him singing high and he hangs onto the bottom of that note.
The girl has just a tad more talent and soul.
I like Taylor because he can sing well but I doubt he has the abilities needed for a long singing career.

Well I did vote for Chris. I told my wife that he needed the votes too, and that no one was a shoo in for the final spot. Turned out to be prophetic (or pathetic, take your pick!). I thought Chris was the best of the 4 finalists. I 'like' Taylor, but I don't think he has a stage presence. Kat is ok. But Elliot gets my vote to win. Not exactly 'star' quality in the looks department but if I close my eyes when he sings, his voice makes up for what he lacks in looks. IMHO anyway.

Of the three left, Taylor annoys me. When he sang the last ballad, he was okay - but please stop with the hocky dancing. Elliot, yes, he can sing but his voice never connected with me. No feeling there. Kat, last week she impressed me for the first time. But the way she sang this week?? Why can't she just sing and not be so breathy? Chris, he had me ever since the Johnny Cash week. I doubt I'll continue to watch. Oh, well maybe - just because I'm curious.

I felt exactly the same--until last week. Something was different about Elliot's performances this last time, and different = better for me.
But I wanted Chris to win, hands down. His style of singing/music was most interesting to me, and I would be way more likely to buy an album by Chris than any of the others. That's how I judge the Idols, personally. I don't care one bit about stage presence or looks--I don't go to concerts or watch music videos. I just listen.
Cya, Chris Hopefully you'll get an album anyway--plenty of other runner-ups have.

Hey Todd, in my paper this morning it said that the rock band fuel ("Hemmorhage (In My Hands)", "Bad Day", etc.) offered Chris a spot as their lead singer. Can't say if he'd take it, but I think he'd fit well with them, actually .

The first two Generation X albums are essential listening. His EP and first two full length albums are awesome. Devil's Playground is an excellent return to form for "his sneeriness" and I am *so* glad to see he is working with Steve Stevens again.
