Ray, I see that you're being very productive today. My baby has started putting his foot in his mouth. And he has two teeth on the bottom row. So I guess he's capable of biting his toenails.

Of course, I wouldn't exactly call my baby's habits socially acceptable or redeeming. I do hope, for instance, that he stops grabbing my glasses and attempting to put them in his mouth.

Mine doesn't put my glasses in her mouth. She prefers to mark up the lenses and then fling them across the room. I was thinking of not wearing them til she overcomes this stage. *Sigh*

They day I could put my toes in my mouth would be a joyous one--or a very painful one, which would require immediate medical attention, seeing as how I'm not nearly so limber as I once was...

I just hope that my glasses survive the baby. Of course, it's impossible to get angry at a baby. Especially when he turns to look at me and smile whenever I'm in the room.

This has turned out to be a most productive day for me at work... not! Come down to the plant for a staff meeting that gets cancelled because my boss is sick and working from home today... then my second laptop won't boot up (yes, due to my job, I am currently working in stereo laptops at certain times of the month ), so while I'm waiting for someone else I was waiting and waiting and waiting on from the time I heard staff meeting was cancelled to meet with me about going over some maintenance contracts and quotes, I go to the NT guys to get my second laptop login-able when finally I've had enough of his I need to make a few phone calls that were only going to take a few minutes but take 1/2 hour or more... then he goes off to meet with another manager when he see's I'm not in my office...
Oh yes, let's all do the Pointy Hair Boss Shuffle! And with some enthusiasm this time around! Posts: 2402 | Registered: Oct 2005

My Dad is a PHB. My sisters and I snickered Sunday evening. We were all having dinner for Dad's birthday (since he will be traveling this week). He said something to my husband who works in the same department at the company where my Dad works. "Did you hear what I said to Martinez the other day?" My husband replied that there were probably very few who didn't hear. I forget what the point was, but we chuckled because we've all been on the receiving end of Dad's 'corrective lectures.' We agreed that none of us would want to have Dad for a boss. Posts: 5737 | Registered: Oct 2004

Hey...have any of you bought tickets online? I want tickets to a sold out show, but there are dozens of reseller sites... I realize I'm going to pay more than double for these tickets, but I'm mostly concerned that I find a legit site. Any suggestions? (I'm looking at ticketsnow.com currently.)

Ticketmaster if you want to be legal... e-Bay if you like risks and believe in the free enterprise of scalpers...
ray, well that was a given. Now I understand why Mattai was giving me the confused look in the tender mercies cliche thread
