quote: Is it illegal to sell tickets for more than face value? No. It does generally require a license and set of standards to follow. In Illinois, where TicketsNow.com is licensed, it also requires a $100,000 cash bond for consumer protection to be held either privately or through an association. We are licensed to sell in 98% of the markets and will notify you if we cannot. All transactions that we handle meet all state and local provisions.
Are they lying to me, or is this okay?

I would check the laws of the state you are in or the venue / event is in to see what they have to say about it rather than taking the word of someone who is going to charge you a premium for tickets that are sold out through the regular channels...
I mean, think about it... the legit places like Ticketmaster already are the resellers of the tickets for the various venues. The venue box office or venue owner sells the tickets or has contracted with a service like Ticketmaster to sell them for them. The ticket price is going to be the same either way, although a Ticketmaster may charge a "convenience" fee of a few dollars per ticket for delivery of tickets or for use of credit card...

Cat could just be trying to hide his secret identity. You know, like Clark Kent wearing glasses even though his eyesight wasn't bad....

Casi: Yes it's possible, then again, I don't think Cat's that clever. No. I think I'm slowly narrowing in on the identity of the Silent Ninja... And I think it's one of four folks... and I think it's a she...
I won't go into my guessing any further... no... not until I have further evidence of whom I suspect is the true identity of the Silent Ninja!

Interesting fact for the day: King Edward the 1st, also known as the Longshanks (because he was 6'2") was also known as the Hammer of the Scots, because while he was alive and king Scotland was constantly under British rule. He's the King featured in the movie Braveheart (which, being LDS, I would rather chainsmoke a 100 cigars alternating with gulps of whiskey rather than see an R movie) who made William Wallace's life come to a premature end by ordering he get a really close haircut.

Good one about the Rated R movie thing. I agree, it is the-sin-that-must-not-be-named.
So I am not entirely convinced the forum is back to snuff. About every other attempt to contact a page from my site brings up site-unknown notice.
Anyhow I'm pretty sure I'll be sparse today. Have a ton o stuff to do today, and I have to go home early so I can sit in a gym filled with elementary school kids and sketch comics... (I'm the coolest art docent the school's ever known... cuz I draw comics. )

I am working on being sparse today as well. Long weekend ahead of me, and I am in my crunch time at work right now. Yesterday I got some done, but nearly enough.

{aside and in hushed tone} Helmsman Shiz, make sure your young padawan learner does not bring a great disturbance to the farce... I'd hate to think you would have to someday chop his hook and peg legs off when his undermining of the Fortress mining effort is exposed as a bad case of insider trading Posts: 2402 | Registered: Oct 2005

Hopefully it wasn't a party which someone discovered how to make airborne. I don't want competition in the raiding business. Bonus points if you know where the flying, raiding party reference is from.

Checking back into the Fortress this morning.
I spent all yesterday afternoon and evening thinking ninja thoughts and trying to my way into the Fortress. Alas, I guess I don't make a very good ninja. Posts: 5737 | Registered: Oct 2004

I don't know. Maybe we could show up late under the Mormon Life or Doctrine and Scholarship folders... everyone just kind of waltz in and make as big a disturbance as possible trying not to disrupt the meeting in progress to peeve off those that made it to the folder on time... And then we could also sit in other people's seats and reserve other seats for the Fortress folks still on their way... Posts: 2402 | Registered: Oct 2005

I'll get there when I get there. Sheesh! Don't you know that I dribbled chocolate sauce on me and I have to change? Next time I'll go with raspberry sauce on my cheesecake and maybe it won't happen....

Fine. Cheesecake for breakfast it is. But we're having chocolate swirl cheesecake. None of this healthy fruit nonsense.
