Thanks for the present. That'll look really nice in our bathroom.
I don't like Christopher Reeve. He always struck me as pompous. I don't think Superman should be pompous.
I don't like Adam Sandler all that much either. Add Hasselhoff in and you can forget it. I'll spend my $$ on X-Men 3 and the new Pirates movie. I can't wait to see the new Pirates movie. Spiderman 3 comes out next year..... And I really *ought* to buy Batman Begins but I'm worried that will scare the boy, and he'd want to see it. But he's still just 5. The Scarecrow is a bit much....

BTW, another film that has all sorts of not very likely things is Waterworld. For one thing, in the beginning it shows a filter that can turn urine into pure water. Why then couldn't he turn the sea water into drinkable water? They acted as if drinkable water were this incredibly valuable commodity. But it is many times harder to filter salt out of water than it is all the pollutants in urine. Plus, if the oceans had risen as high as they said, the salt level in the water would also have dropped. If I remember correctly, the sea is an average of 3% salt, and our kidneys can handle something like 2.5%.

Cass was holding the sword... duh... I'd never suggest she was a multitentacled monster distracted by pretty shiny lights... that sounds more like a Shiz type of thing... Posts: 13191 | Registered: Oct 98

Well, Ray, I should hope you don't find Kevin Costner sexy. I didn't like his verson of Robin Hood, either.

Btw, I did see Xmen3 last week. It was decent. I was a bit disappointed with some of the low-budget effects when it came to the mutants. And where did all of Magneto's mutants come from that more or less all did the same thing as anybody else.
Also they totally screwed up the story of Phoenix... sigh... That was majorly disappointing. Though it would be cool if they had Rachel come back from the future to try to stop a big event that never happens in this alternative universe, and have Bishop (a mormon Xmen) and the Hellfire club with Emma Frost and Selene (the Black queen... a psychic human vampire...) and... and... oh and maybe we'll get to see Psylocke!? (I always loved Psylocke, even before her Jim Lee ninja transformation... )

I think Pirates is going to be my birthday activity. I think it comes out on the 11th, and my birthday is the 13th. Whee!
I saw X-Men3, will probably see Superman. I don't know why I need to find something else to watch, but it's kind of a sister thing. That's what we do.
Hey Casi, I know I did the whole cake thing, but here's a little something extra anyway. It'll match your new artwork.

Also I am tired of Magneto. The Xmen have not always been about him or Wolverine. I understand they're thinking about making a wolverine movie, which could be... ahem... interesting...
The ghost rider movie preview looked pretty good... never been a huge fan of the guy in the comic, though.

I like all the X-men stuff. I never read any of the comics though. I remember watching two short animated things my brother had, but that was a long time ago.
I saw the Ghost Rider trailer. Kindy creepy concept. Never even heard of that comic.
When does Lady in the Water come out?

Does anyone know if Ghost Rider is appropriate for kids to watch? My 11 year old saw the trailer, and really, really wants to see it.

My favorite movie of all times is Mary Poppins... that was a musical and a family movie and a special effects film all combined in one...

Further who didn't want to have a nanny like Julie Andrews with her commanding presence, self-assurance, and that lovely voice... And then there was Dick Van Dyke who played a couple parts in the movie... Posts: 13191 | Registered: Oct 98

I would like to point out that Grace just made her 1900th post as Janitor on the 100th page of the Fortress. 2000-100=1900. Spooky. Posts: 5737 | Registered: Oct 2004

Gracie, our baby loves to use the computer with us. So far his "use" is limited to banging his open hand on the keyboard and trackpad. But he's sure he's helping.
