Ok, this one has me steamed. "Forced Confidentiality for ‘Gay’ Indoctrination"
quote: Some teachers at Deerfield High School in Deerfield, Illinois are forcing 14-year-old freshmen to sign a confidentiality agreement saying they will not tell anyone, not even their parents, what they are taught in a pro-homosexual sensitivity training seminar.
Who can wonder why Mormon & Moroni included such detail about secret combinations, or that they truly saw our day?

Janey- I know what you are saying but it's really that some people need to be better and more responsible parents.

I just don't know where else to post this. This stupendous new public attraction will bowl you over <applause> . I'm simply overflowing with wonderment.
So, they set a trap up with some cheese. I was surprised to learn that deactivated phones still can call 911. Good thing the batteries don't last forever or they would be getting a lot more 911 calls.

Toilet culture? What on earth is that, and do we really want it to spread? Sounds like a bacteria....

Luckily, they started building new toilet facilities outside the "hutongs"in Beijing over two years ago in expectation of the Olympics. The older ones were still very much there and oh did they have an "air"about them!! Way past disgusting.
I used the public facilities several times while in both Beijing and Shanghai even though I usually can wait until I am in the hotel. But it was so blamed hot I had to hydrate, and thus had to do as the regular folks do. Never forget your own TP. NEVER. And foreigners should always use the handicapped or you have to squat. Not if I don't have to, thanks.
Because the people who live in hutongs do not have their own facilities, it was fascinating to see how people coped with hygiene, hair washing, etc in a very public place. Everyone was very polite and smiling all the time.

Well, in some of those third world countries, they use something called night-soil as fertilizer. Maybe they are thinking of spreading in that sense.
My parents traveled in China, and they did report on the kind of "facility" that Quid described. What it is, essentially, is a hole in the ground. Not a modern outhouse like ours, with a wooden seat, a Sears catalog hanging on the door, & a crescent moon opening. Just a hole in the ground.

I've read about charities that take old cell phones when people upgrade, which can still call 911. The phones are refurbished & donated to shelters for battered families, some of whom arrive in the middle of the night with only what they are wearing. The phones are programmed to call 911 and limited other numbers (maybe the shelter, doctors, a family member or two), and donated to the victims so they can feel more confident going back out into the world where the abusers may still be.

I don't think I have ever been censored before. If anyone is wondering, it was about some unscrupulous attempts to communicate with someone on the other side of the veil.

Need to go grocery shopping but your tank is empty & you have no gas money? Here is the ideal solution: carjack someone & use their car to do your errands.
To make this work, be sure to pick someone who will put up with this for hours, even staying put in the back seat like a good little doggie while you go into the stores.
Something about this story is awfully strange .

You certainly have an eye for the bizarre! It has crossed my mind more than once that I am glad I don't have a subscription to your periodicals. On the other hand, it is a backward blessing that I do NOT understand a portion of what I read in the Dutch Dailies. We have our share of real bona fide doofuses (pardon, doofi) in this part of the world as well.
Our entire nation front news was about a gorilla yesterday. He'd been driven to attack a woman who visited him nearly everyday with grins and other threatening ape behaviours, thinking that she was building a rapport with the primate because he grinned back and responded to her. One day, the poor creature found a way to escape his enclosure and hurt the perceived threat human very badly. Scared the bejesus out of a whole crowd of families with young kids too. Yesterday, the ape returned to his newly upgraded enclosure. THAT was our headline news. Posts: 5640 | Registered: Jun 2002
