I guess I've been living under a rock, since this was the first I've heard about it.

I was listening to talk radio this morning. A guest from the FBI was explaining the threat of DNS Malware. After I got home today I did a command prompt to bring up my DNS and IP addresses. They seem to fall within the range of safe numbers. Do I need to do anything else to ensure I'll be able to log in to the Internet on Monday?

I'd heard about this a long long time ago, but didn't realize there was a Monday deadline. An article at Wired explains the history and why Monday is important.

You can go to this website http://www.dns-ok.us/ to see if your computer is okay.

Have you done a scan on your computer using your antivirus software?

Beyond that, I'm not sure what else you need to do.

I hadn't heard of it either but I haven't had any malware or virus problems on my personal computers in years.

When I saw the stories yesterday, I thought that I hadn't heard anything previously. But then when I went to the site that quid linked to check my status, I recognized the page. So clearly I had heard about it, found I was clear, and forgot about it.
