Edited to say that: BritGirl Knows this thread is here. I have told her that I have asked every Nauvoodle who is willing to pray mightily for our Girl and a situation in her life that will change her environment significantly.
Earlier this evening she called me to share details on an ongoing matter. The news was not entirely out of the blue, but certainly has significant impact.
I have been on this roller coaster with her- hanging on tightly and being as Pollyanna and positive as I can be because I absolutely want her goals and desires to come true. It is time she had this ( sez me)in her life.
But now, today, in this hour while we await further details and developments, it might be that her life path might be very different than we were hoping-
And I am bereft for my Girl. There is another human being involved here (and others) who also need more prayers than even does BG right now. I will admit I am scared.
Sorry to be cryptic, but I am the observer here. It is not my story- the details are hers to share.
But oh Lord my God is there no help? I dread the end of the story. Yes, it is that dreadful. Yes, she really needs diligent power of prayer to get through this undamaged.
Thank you
edited to change tenses and spelling.

I'm praying, though I don't know the situation, I love Jan so much and hope she can feel that. She knows she can call me with anything I can do for her. (Or Facebook. LOL.)

I will remember BG in my prayers also. I'll be going to the temple in the next day or two & will add her to the prayer roll.

Praying for BritGirl and the 'other human being' who needs prayers as well. Thanks for asking, Jana.

Hi everyone - I hope everyone is well - especially those I don't see on facebook . In view of jana's comments I just wanted to add a little - though I stress 'little'
First - to thank you all for your kind words and prayers which are deeply appreciated and much needed
Those of you on Facebook might have picked up the fact that I am planning to go to Egypt - initially for 4-6 months and then if I am able to settle there and find work then on a longer term basis.
On my trip to Egypt in January this year I met some truly amazing people who touched my life deeply - the uprising started just a few days after my return to the UK and my concern for these new friends and indeed all the people of Egypt taught me something about myself and inspired my decision to go there - which will be 'when the time is right' in terms of my governments advice on travel to Egypt amongst a few other factors - never before has something felt so right for me to do - even for a short term experience
However - one of my new found friends - who I will refer to as Habebe - has had his own world turned upside down by actions of the current ruling army - that's all I am able to say - but he, and I need your prayers for a speedy return to normality for him and his entire family - his parents are aged and to a high degree dependent on him also - the news of what has happened to him has left me numb and empty and everyone who knows and loves him has had their world turned upside down

As news comes out of Egypt, I think of your friend and his family. A plea of their safety is in our prayers.

Hi all - I just wanted to update you and thank you all for your faith and prayers
3 weeks ago Habebe received word that his father was dying and sadly died last tuesday - consequently he has been allowed to go home to his family. I've had a few brief conversations with him and have gleaned the fact that he was taken by the ruling army to work on a government project though he was not allowed any contact with his family during that time - he tells me he was not arrested but that he had no option in agreeing to work on the project - he was not able to tell me what he had to do or where he was!
He seems to have lost much of the flamboyant personality I first encountered in him - he is totally distraught at the loss of his dad but he is alive and safe - after 17 weeks without a word and endless stories on people being shot and arrested and imprisoned for years on trivial charges - everyone had about given up hope ! Thank you again everyone for your prayers which have truly been heard

Jacare, thank you for your faith and prayers - i am truly thankful.
Josh, thankfully, the riots are now over, just the shouting to come, and no doubt some bleeding hearts will be justifying this appalling behaviour, there are already facebook campaigns to send all our human rights lawyers to Syria or Libya for a sabbatical where they can help those genuinely in need of their skills, and leave the punishment of these who truly deserve it to have it served upon them. Many of these rioters were children, but everyone has to learn the consequences of their actions, sometimes, that's a hard lesson to learn.

Sending the rioters to Syria or Libya or Somalia might be effective. Perhaps then they would realise how good they have it.

BG leaves GB the end of September for ever. She is busy packing and dismantling her London life. She is excited to be an Olympic volunteer. I am on my way for a farewell visit beginning of July. She is absolute in her determination to go; and has her first month there all planned including a wild ride visit to Jerusalem.

Last I knew her friends were excited about the elections in Egypt. I am afraid we aren't as optimistic as they are about the near future of the country.
