I'm new here. Hi.
I found my way here from hatrack.com and would love to know if anyone has already seen the movie Serenity?
I have a husband and friends who are saying it's a must see and I just finished Orson Scott Card's review on hatrack.com which is very positive.
We have four young children and it looks like we'll be looking for a baby-sitter for our first date night in a couple months.

We're hoping to get to it this weekend, although I'm performing that Saturday afternoon, so may be swamped with practices. [Frown]

But we'll be done by around 4, so maybe can leave, swing by my mom's to drop the Emster off, and catch a 5 o' clock showing.

I saw it on Friday morning. I'm going back again tonight.

I *never* see movies in the theater more than once.

So there's my review. Just go see it already!

It was the best science fiction movie I've ever seen.
Wonderful. I loved it. But it does deserve its PG13 rating.
Not for little kids due to violence. The actors were great. The pacing was right on target. The emotions were real. The moral center was there. I laughed. I cried.

Go see it.

I also want to see it again. And own it when it comes out. (I own a total of 10 DVDs, and I want this one now.)

It was AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME, perfectly paced, perfectly explained, logical, moving, aggravating, heart wrenching, thrilling, thought provoking and scary. I LOVED it.

If you haven't seen it yet, you must see it, though be prepared for some violence and couple of off-color comments.

I have to say, though, some of those off color comments were darn funny! [Big Grin]

Maybe I'm too worldly, but I loved the phrasing on some things.

I just saw it today (well, technically yesterday - Thursday - but since I'm still awake ... ).

I plan to see it again on Saturday. Oh, and I got this email from Serenity Leader from the Browncoats site ... and I won a trivia contest! I get a Serenity Prize Pack - bandanna, chopsticks, window cling, mug and patch. Shiny.

Excellent movie. Have to agree that the PG-13 rating was definately deserved. Please let there be more, either movies or a new series on a channel that'll give it the time slot and support it deserves.

We saw the movie over the weekend. I am completely amazed that it did so poorly at the box office. It is such a good movie.
