Did anybody miss me when I vanished for the summer? I've been traveling and away from the internet. Let's see: I got to play leapfrog with 18-wheelers all across Arkansas, drove clear across the widest part of Texas, saw my mother who is recovering from cancer, visited at least a little with all my brothers and my sister, and met two sisters-in-law and one to be for the first time, had a chance to spend 6 weeks and get reacquainted with the older of my two sons, nore or less followed the Pioneer Trail in reverse, went to Virgina and saw a bunch of Civil War battlefields, went swimming in the Atlantic Ocean, visited Jamestown, Richmond, and Washington DC, proposed marriage and then called off the engagement, and finally got a home connection to the internet. And that's only the biggest stuff. I've been busy.
